Last time I checked I had the fasted speed on the PS4 Gods Remastered scoreboard. I know the game very well at this moment in time. As JOTD points out, the only way you could get stuck in Gods is if you deliberately try to.

The most obvious place you can *accidentally* get stuck in the game is Level 1 World 3: Don't use the giant jump potion to jump up before it expires. And yet, even back then, if you wait around long enough the game will give you a teleport jewel to move you up. That kind of surprised me when I discovered that, as I think of old 90s games as being incredibly unforgiving. So yeah, you never really get stuck. (Unless, as JOTD points out, you THEN deliberately go back down.)

It's a brilliantly designed game. There's no instant death traps and you are rewarded, not punished, for exploration. You can never put yourself in a "walking dead" state or otherwise paint yourself into a corner. It's a woefully under appreciated game in my opinion. I love it!

Good to know I'm remembering it right. I couldn't think of an unfair examples, but it's been a while since I've played past the second level. Got to the dragon recently, but I couldn't remember how to get the giant gem.

I guess I'm not remembering it right. Well that means only one thing, I have to replay it.
