@RCK

as demos are public domain, would you also like to host the actual adfs and aswell as the database...

if HOL - Amiga Demo Scene is an extension to the main HOL, then it with be database driven, Yes?

If so i can help by supplying info and screen grabs

if No, then i can do all the html and then rest

in both cases i would like alot of help putting it all together...

There is already quite large demo site (but there is not as much as info as in hol) http://www.arabuusimiehet.com/break/amiga/

This is my friend's site, unfortunately only single screenshot and no disk images because of bandwidth reasons.

i don't think demos would really need disk scans anyway

i think 3-5 to screen grabs would be enough for demos

i would like to have all the people listed in the creation of the demo named, what group did it.. that kinda thing

i also would like to concentrate of demos only (not cracktros), but music disks would be included...

Actually some of the "hotter products" had pretty imaginative packaging, I've only got those on C64, but I can imagine some of the Amiga products used to have similar designs
So scans of those ones would be pretty interesting historical material, problem is it is not easy to find the people who has those before they got spread to ordinay erm... users
Maybe Galahad and Kephren can help on this front.

- No I won't host the ADF in a first time.
- Yes it will be based on HOL code, so it will be database driven.
- If you wanna help, be the team leader of the HOL demo section and find members

Most groups had standard group disk labels with the demo name written on them, they were nothing special, and would be VERY rare that anyone still had them. Personally, I think a few screenshots of the demo would be a more worthwhile idea.

Aren't there projects like this already? I mean, if somebody started something like this somewhere else it might be better helping them rather than pillaging the HOL code and starting from scratch.

indeed, i couldn't *do* a scene demo HOL anyway... my knowledge of .asp or whatever is non-existant.... but i can *do* html a bit!

i'm really looking for a host for this project at the moment, RCK said he would be happy to host any amiga related project... someone else suggested using the HOL code...

i'm open for debate!

I think it should/could be an extension of HOL..

Why limit HOL to games... why not do demos or even a cracktros section too

yes and Virus I got a disk full of it

I think the idea is brilliant, having one place to find it all, and demo was a big part of my amigalife back then, showing what your computer could do
