Got a GVP 4060 and 5 minutes?

Hello,

In an attempt to assist a busy coder that has generously offered his time to remedy a nasty bug with this card, I'm hoping to find a volunteer with a 4060 (T-Rexx II) that can run some code and email me the output. A Willem and a bit of spare time would also be very much appreciated , though not an absolute requirement.

Please shoot me a PM for full details.

Thank you!

Just curious... What is the nasty bug that you are looking to fix?

Thanks.

I sent some output to Damion a long time ago. He sent me a couple of chips with the fixed code to test, but I still haven't got round to it. Soon, I promise!

The bug is related to not being able to load file systems from the RDB (rigid disk block). It's nothing that will prevent you from using the card as long as you stick to FFS, ie. the AmigaOS default file system.

videofx: when you run the command, you get a fixed version of your eprom - this you have to burn with an eepromer. the tool cannot flash the eprom. if you do not have such device, maybe a member here , close to you, can burn it for you.

Yes , I know I need to burn it into a 27256 EPROM. I burn eproms all the time for my Atari and my BBC. I have a DataIO eprom programmer. The only problem is I cant burn a chip like the one that is on the board. I may have to just stick with FFS

I would have to buy an Atmel programmer and chip then figure how to desolder the chip from the board and solder in a new chip.

I don't know that its worth it
