It's a Knockout! 2012/13: Game Vote
It's a Knockout! 2012/13: Game Vote Starts: 00:01 November 11 Finishes: 23:59 November 24 Here we go again. The Super League takes a back seat for seven weeks and the ever-popular knockout tournament takes centre stage once more. Thanks to mihcael for the excellent banner above. Rules Knockout rules are here. Please read this one... Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt. Edited votes will be discounted. There is no double voting power for this competition. Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon. You can only vote once, and also it could cause confusion if you post your vote on both boards - it's easy for it to be counted twice by accident. You can only vote for the 17 games played in the 2012 Super League: James Pond 2: Codename Robocod The Chaos Engine Sensible Golf Alien Bash 2 Cybernetix Buggy Boy Deluxe Galaga Bubble Bobble Dyna Blaster R-Type II Silk Worm Stunt Car Racer Gem'X Turrican 3 Twintris Walker Sensible World of Soccer 96/97 Extras - Lemon thread The game with the most points from the voting will be played in the qualifying round from December 2 for two weeks. The second-placed game will be played in the first round proper, and so on. Anyone is welcome to vote, play and chat at any time. May voting commence... It has, in my opinion, been the worst year yet for the quality of games played in the Super League so other than the top three I really struggled to find five games to vote for.
1. Deluxe Galaga 2. Gem'X 3. SWOS 4. Silkworm 5. Sensible Golf |

There have been a few games I really hated this season and some I really loved. Overall I think it's been a good year with plenty of close battles, and not just for the top spots either.
Here are my votes: 1. Bubble Bobble 2. Dyna Blaster 3. Stunt Car Racer 4. Gem'X 5. Twintris |

I think the quality of the games has reflected on the number of people voting this year, seems very low compared to last year.

Voting has now closed - 21 votes were cast in total and here's how things turned out:
1. Sensible Golf - 40 (Qualifying Round, Dec 2 - 15) 2. Deluxe Galaga - 33 (Round 1, Dec 16 - 29) 3. Stunt Car Racer - 30 (Quarter-Finals, Dec 30 - Jan 5) 4. The Chaos Engine - 28 (Semi-Finals, Jan 6 - 12) 5. James Pond 2: Robocod - 26 (Final/3rd Place, Jan 13 - 19) If only eight players qualify for the first round then we will only play the top four games. For those interested here's the also-rans: 6.
