Love FS-UAE but could never get it to work on Raspberry Pi4. Now there is a specific version for the pi I'll give it another go. Thanks for this.

FS-UAE on RP4

I am looking to use my RP4 for an Amiga setup and love FS-UAE so would like to use that. Is installing Ubuntu and FS-UAE still the way to go and should I use version 3 or 4 of FS-UAE for the best experience?

There's no ARM version of FS-UAE for anything other than MacOS.

There is an ARM version but it's in testing. Look at the thread FS-UAE preview for Raspberry Pi 4.

The method I use to install FS-UAE on my Pi4 uses the Raspberry PI OS as it's base, but any other debian based OS will work the same.
Simply open a terminal and type the following commands:

echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/reposit...ble/Debian_11/ /' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/home:FrodeSolheim:stable.list

curl -fsSL https://download.opensuse.org/reposi...11/Release.key | gpg --dearmor | sudo tee

/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/home_FrodeSolheim_stable.gpg > /dev/null

sudo apt update

sudo apt install fs-uae fs-uae-launcher fs-uae-arcade

Hope this helps
