Sim City 2000
I'm using both the latest versions of WinUAE and AIAB and i installed sim city 2000 a few days ago. When it comes to starting the game it comes up with a screen to select the resolution, execpt there are'nt any options available. It's just a blank window with ok and cancell at the bottom!
Is this something to do with AIAB or am i missing some files? I've also tried using older versions of both WinUAE and AIAB but i'm still not having any joy . Any help would greatly appreciated |

You are playing Simcity 2000 on WinUae? Do you realise what you are doing? You are playing a PC game that was ported to amiga on a PC using an emulator.
Mathematical this would be simplyfied to: Get the windows version. It is available from various sites across the web. |

Make sure you boot a complete Workbench and move a monitor driver from Storage/Monitors to Devs/Monitors (PAL and NTSC only for UAE).

AGA version of SimCity 2000 requires min 4MB fast RAM if I remember correctly.

with a turbo board on a real A1200 runs the game quiet good.
The speed on WinUAE shoud be also fast! |

Yes it needs some fastram but will still be slow as hell compared to pc. The AGA is just not up to these kinds of high res things. The stock 020 is not really up to the task aswell. Can't hurt trying on a real amiga. It is pretty fun to get it going. But on an emulator I'd say better go for the original PC version.

Just so you know, it runs like ass on the real thing too. Dumb game insists on running at 640X480 at 256 colors, which is exactly what brings a stock 1200 to a standstill. Play the Mac version instead.
