A3000, A2410, CyberGraphX v4

i feel really stupid, but somehow i think i miss something.

i got a nice A3000 system with an A2410 and the CGX v4 software (only good A3000 have SCSI and i have some spare CD drives :-).

but somehow i think i do something wrong. the problem is, that i can't setup modes with "CGXMode" and i am not really happy about the 1024x768@60Hz mode.

i also downloaded the latest patches from: http://vgr.com/v4

is there someone who can enlighten me, how to do the setup properly ? i would like to have 1024x768@72Hz or 76Hz. also i need some hints on settting up the CGX flags.

AFAIK the 2410 doesn´t support CGX V4 ! Only V2 ! Also the refresh rate is limited in each resolution, so you won´t get more than 66 Mhz in 1024x768 .... have a look here : http://www.amiga-society.de/ahwbook/a2410.html

you should check the support pages, as of 4.2pre8 (and later) 2410 support is added ... well, "they" claim it is added.

the current version being downloadable is 4.2rc2, and within the patch files are "hints" - files looking like a driver to me - for the 2410.

isn't it possible to exchange the crystal(s)(i am not sure if "crystal" is the correct english word) ? also the "new" drivers support flags, to give other settings for those frequencies.

maybe it is just because of the fact, that the 2410 uses fixed frequencies, that the tools doesn't show any other selections.

but i will check the link you supplied and try to find some hints in the net ... but this gets frustrating in the last weeks, because the search engines return more and more broken links to amiga pages.
