picasso on fs-uae freezing on screen mode select

It has been 10 or more years since I messed with amiga emulation, and I'm in the mood.

I have a problem though, and maybe it is my fs-uae settings or something.

Trying to follow green alien's install guide to get amigaos 3.1.4 installed and picasso working.

Everything seems to install fine but when I select a screenmode with uaegfx I get a screen freeze that lasts forever.

Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Is there a more current setup guide for amigaos 3.1.4 or can someone please help me walk through my fs-uae settings and/or install steps to see what I'm missing?

I couldn't find much for fs-aue specific settings online.

I'm running fs-uae 2.9.7dev2 on arch linux. I had the same problem with an older non-dev version from the arch user repository I was using before switching to the dev version to see if the version might be the problem.

Try with amiga_model = a1200

Your ROM file isn't a A4000 one

You can tweak processor model if you like to have faster Amiga, by setting:

uae_cpu_model = 68030  # or 68040

in your config.
