The new round is up, and I've added the new rules on training during the time-frame of the round into the rule books. These take effect as of now.

John noticed Jump N Roll has training options within the game itself, and to allow this would seem to go against the rules we just made, so for now can we agree to play from the start? I'd rather not go through a huge debate, as I think its fair to learn all the games with trial and error, but if there is a huge outcry and a reason why, Im sure an exception could be made.

I havent played either game yet. Looking for volunteers...

Wizzy's Quest
The joystick functions are:

Left/Right -> Wizzy Walks
Up/Diagonal Up -> Wizzy Jumps
Fire and Left/Right -> Wizzy Builds a block sideways
Fire and Up -> Wizzy Builds a block diagonally
Fire and Down -> Wizzy Builds a block diagonally

Some keys during the game have functions:
Pressing <HELP> brings up a help page.
<P> Pauses the game.
<S> speeds up the game, for some reason that I don't understand it runs at different speeds depending on the amount of memory in the system being
used.
<ESC> ends the level if you get into a position from which there is no way out, this costs a life!.

Not tested Jump 'n roll but had a quick go at Wizzy's quest.
Seems to be an interesting lemmings like game (with 1 lemmings)
Nice choice.

Yes, more like Troddlers, if you played that one?

I don't remember having played Troddlers...

Regarding "Wizzy's quest", as this game is a milking party, like for Wolfchild, I think we don't have to count the score.

Maybe we can only consider the reached level to determine the winner ?

Level 01 : score 651 !!!

Thanks malko, yes definitely a milk fest on level 1! Perhaps we should say players who only reach level 1 should get a milking penalty, of minus 1 million points.

Unfortunately, submitted scores, or footage made to prove a score, must be shown running at 50fps. Scores/footage being played below 50fps are not acceptable as submissions. That means anim.gifs must be shown running at 50fps, or they can only be used as examples, hints etc. You can always record your plays on youtube like John does.

It's not just level 1 but every level with plenty of gems to collect.

So reached level MINUS score again would be the most fair (plus number of lives at the end although you can only see 3 at max).

Btw., Wizzy's Quest runs pretty slow on a real A500 (but too fast without cycle-exactness).
@lifeschool: It's okay to play this at 60fps, right?

Wondering if you are joking or simply missing sleeping hours .

There's no worse blind man than the one who doesn't want to see...
Let's reformulate it : it's an example. ONE OF the level where it is possible to milk

Play the game a bit, you will see.

Intersting Game. Level 4(000) - 896 = 3106

As there is something going on with the scoring of Wizzy's Quest, and we are still in the first week, I've updated the rules so that scoring is less important. How about level x 1000?, I think 10,000 would be overkill so lets go with that. Of course this means screenshots must show the level to be acceptable.

I copied the only rule from Jump and Roll also, as it looked odd having no training listed for only one of the games. As this is a permanent rule change, I'll roll this into the main rules next round.

I finally managed to avoid the skeleton in level 28
In the scheme of things, it was not that hard. Why didn't I thought about the way I did it today before ?

Now here ...
Need to study this screenshot to think about a clue.

Wizzy's Quest : 31'284 = (34 x 1'000) - 2'716

Edit: Just after posting I had an idea and un-paused the game -> I managed to finish the level
but my joy was short-lived since on the next level (35), a new enemy is able to "eat" the blocks we create and then kill you ...
I was so surprised that I forgot to make a new screenshot.

By the time I've failed on stage 5 I've forgotten the earlier stages again.

Whizzy's Quest : 38'701 = (43 x 1'000) - 4'299

I am wondering if it's possible top finish this level. Here is the best I can do so far as I have no clue how to remove the block in front of the door...
I have an idea but can't find a way to materialize it .

Edit: Had an idea this morning at wake up (OMG - to wake up and thinking about a game, it's been a long time since that happened ). Will check later if it can work (no time to play the 43 levels now).

I have yet to reach this level. Hope the skeleton isn't in this spot at the start already.

Yes, he is...

But, my wake up idea was the good one

Wizzy's Quest : 45'358 = (49 x 1'000) - 4'642 + 1'000

By the way : The text at the end of the game is unreadable because the font seems to be of the wrong size.
After a test, I have found that we have to add a system-configuration file in DEVS (80 cols) for the text to be correctly displayed - also the "Highscore" & "Last Game" texts fit on the right border with the system-configuration file in DEVS. Will have another go to be able to read the final discussion between the heroes and the dragon

Thanks malko, well done.

A new ADF is now linked in the first post, which fixes PAL/NTSC issues, 80 Character mode to read the texts, and restores the original intro.

Players dont have to upgrade to the new version, as they should play identically.
