EAB Games League Season 1 Round 10 - Lotus 3
The final lap of the season is underway...
Lotus 3 The rules for this competition are in this thread. Here's a quick run-down though: - The round starts at 12:00am UK time on Monday, November 26, and finishes at 11:59pm UK time on Saturday, December 15. - Scores can only be posted during the time of the round, any scores posted outside of this period won't count. - You can play on a real Amiga or an emulator, WHDLoad or not, whatever you prefer. - If you can, take screenshots or use a digital camera/mobile phone to provide proof of your score, however if you are unable to do this then you can upload your high-score file as confirmation. You should also write your score in your post. - Anyone can enter at any time, and you can post as many scores as you want during the round. Of course, only your highest score will count towards the final standings. - At the end of the round, the player with the highest score gets 12 points, 2nd place gets 10, 3rd 8, 4th 7, 5th 6, 6th 5, 7th 4, 8th 3, 9th 2 and 10th 1 (assuming that many people take part). - No cheating! No using save states, cheat codes, trainers or anything like that, and no modifying scores in any way. This competition is just a bit of fun and hopefully no-one will sink that low. However, if you genuinely suspect someone has cheated in any way, please PM me and I'll look into it. If I find someone guilty of cheating, they will be banned for the first leg of the EAB/Lemon Super League next year. READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU START - "Against the clock" mode must be played. And also, Easy, Medium and Hard modes will all be played and the scores of all three will be added up to make the total. You can use any car you like. I think that's it. If you have any questions, you can either post them in this thread, the General Discussion thread or the Rules thread. Thanks and have fun! Final Scores: 1. Biscuit - 68,450,280 (Easy: 16,860,860 - Medium: 19,402,220 - Hard: 32,187,200) 2. cane - 63,882,270 (Easy: 16,390,410 - Medium: 18,103,950 - Hard: 29,387,910) 3. mailman - 61,867,240 (Easy: 16,759,240 - Medium: 18,641,550 - Hard: 26,466,450) 4. turrican3 - 59,225,340 (Easy: 17,100,350 - Medium: 17,826,640 - Hard: 24,298,350) 5. farmarfred - 58,200,730 (Easy: 16,057,200 - Medium: 15,097,660 - Hard: 27,045,870) 6. blade002 - 57,998,030 (Easy: 15,156,850 - Medium: 17,754,060 - Hard: 25,087,120) 7. If it's exactly the same game then yes.
Do you mean Lotus Trilogy? I've got that installed on my A1200 and it seems to be the same, but if anyone knows any differently... |

I still remember saving up all my pocket money for this. Loved the intro. Original is still the best, but this is very good too.

I just wasted the last 1.5 hours of my life trying to get Lotus Trilogy AGA HD to run on my A1200 060.
![]() I have tried about 20 different ways of starting the game. Once I was able to actually play the game but then it locked up at the end of the first race. Can anyone get Lotus Trilogy to work on 060? I would have thought this to be the best version since it was AGA fixed by the game company themselves using the source code. This is the Lotus Trilogy that was zoned ages ago. |

Yes I just tried the WHDLoad version. It started up immediately on the first try!
![]() but... It locked up halfway thru the first race! ![]() So every version I have tried, in every way, with every option, the game randomly locks up. But I am not a WHDLoad expert so maybe there is some option I am supposed to set? Is there a WorkRelaibly tooltype? Or a DoNotLockUp tooltype? Or how about IrritateTheGamer=NO ? I have an A1200 with Apollo 50Mhz 060, 32MB RAM, 4GB HD, FFS, Samba network to PC, Mediator with a ethernet card. |

You could try the 'nocache' tooltype... otherwise you'll have to ask in the WHDLoad sub-forum I guess.

Ok nocache tooltype seems to have fixed it. I was able to play the game long enough to lose.
![]() My score: 202440 I suppose my Lotus Trilogy would have worked if I disabled the caches. IMHO the soundfx in this game suck. I remember liking Lotus 2 and Crazy Cars 3 more than Lotus 3. Why did you guys pick this one? |

Glad you got it working.... HOWEVER!
1) The round doesn't actually start for another half-hour or so (just under) 2) You need a pic of your score as well 3) It was picked because it got the most votes ![]() |

Ok this time I was driving along, my score is 3022930 and the game randomly locked up again!
![]() So it is official, no WHDLoad game has EVER worked on EITHER of my Amigas EVER! GROWL! All turning off the caches seems to have done is make the lockups happen less frequently. |

I'd post your problems in the WHDLoad sub-forum if I were you as WHDLoad obviously doesn't entirely like your setup.
