Step by step help lha to adf
Hi,
sorry for asking about this but I google and google and never find a guide that helps me figuring this out. I want to transfer, for example, iff samples downloaded on my real mac to my real gotek equipped amiga 500. The iff samples come in a lha archives. To access them through the gotek they need to be extracted onto an adf file. I read that the smoothest way to achieve this is to use winUAE. Same as FS-UAE? That is what I found for mac anyway. Following this guide: https://amihelper.blogspot.com/2020/...ha-to-adf.html In FSUAE: Insert a blank virtual floppy ("fl1.adf") - DONE Mount a folder as a hard drive ("HD1") - DONE Put the lha archive ("st-01.lha") in this - DONE Start the emulator And now... how do I make this happen? Do I need to load workbench first? Where do I write the command? How to I target the files? Code:
lha x myarchive.lha df0: Optionally show me an easier way. Using osx Terminal? Cheers |

Then boot that Workbench -> Open Shell (CLI) -> type in "LHA X MYARCHIVE.LHA DF0:" and away you go ... of course the files have to fit on one ADF file in size |

Thanks, I managed to extract the lha.run in the hard drive folder. But how do I get workbench on the hard drive? I have only used workbench on floppies. I guess I need to copy/install it in the harddrive?

Put Workbench in DF0: and do a "COPY DF0: TO DH0: ALL CLONE" that should work as a rudimentary WB Installation and then boot from DH0: and copy LHA into the C Folder

Now I can not start the CLI, givens me the this error:
fsuae software failure Line 1111 (F) Emulator/Coprocessor failure attached a screenshot I was messing around with the settings in FS-UAE Launcher to make the emulator run faster (its slower than my real amiga 500...). set 1 mb of slow ram, put the floppy on turbo, etc. I tried to use kickstart 3.1 to install WB3.1, but when that seemed messy I tried to go back. Now even if I reset all the settings in the launcher I can not start CLI from the wb1.3 adf I used from the start. plz help. |

Then start from scratch ...
You'll need : Kick 3.1 Workbench 3.1 (emulated) HDD lha.run any .lha archive FS-UAE has preconfigured Configurations for A1200 with Kick 3.1, start with that ... |
