Big box vs jewel case CD32 games
Quick question for you experts, when browsing E-bay and other places for CD32 games, some titles are listed as "Big box versions" whereas others are just games in a jewel case. My question is this, were all CD32 games sold in the big boxes like regular Amiga games originally, and the ones that are now just in jewel cases have presumably just lost their outer boxes? Or were there some sold in big boxes and some just in the jewel case originally?

Not all CD32 games came in big box boxes. Some came only in jewel cases too, that's why you will notice that some games' manuals are behind the front cover.

So, if I understand right, some came in big boxes, some came in jewel cases and some had both big box and jewel case versions?

Big box games (Microcosm, Fields of Glory)
Jewel case games (Alfred Chicken, Captive II: Liberation) Some examples. Yes, some big box games had also jewel cases inside. |

Ok, but if I'm understanding you right there were not any games that had both big box versions and jewel case only versions, correct? This means that people selling small box/jewel case versions of some games are selling games that have lost their original big box.

It seems that you're trying to buy such a game. Tell me which one it is, and I will tell you.

Some CD32 games come with big box and jewel case inside. For example Frontier. Probably lots of others.

I was just speaking generally, I wanted to know if there was ever a CD32 game released that was sold both as a big-box and as a jewel case only
