Whoops, sorry: ignore the last thread.

So, I guess it's wait and see if olandrobo can find the source code from now on. But I'm quite happy that game made it this far. We might "re"release it after all.

Just a quick question: Was that 4-player mode planned for the PC version as well or was it Amiga-exclusive?

4 players

It was planned for but never executed. Overall the pc version didn't reach as far all together. I think that the only thing it has that the Amiga version doesn't is the extra weapon.

Than That's something to add to the amiga version once we'll "reconstruct"it.

Thanks. Just needed to know in order to have a complete list of planned features. I've finished the article about the PC version now, it will go online as part of the Christmas update on December 23/24.

Already talked to Sean about Xap, but I'm not able to finish the article about it in time for Christmas. It will be part of the January update instead. Not really a bad game for its time, especially since it was a one-man-project.

Shenandoah was also a big airship I think. I'm not sure why we picked that name, but it sounds pretty cool I think.

I just met with the main coder for the first time in at least five years, and he is quite positive that he has the code somewhere, which is excellent news! Now lets just pray he can find it.

shenandoah is also the name of an irish river, as well as an irish domain:

"Oh shenandoah, I long to hear you, aaaawayyyy, your rolling river..."

So, now I think we finally found the source code! I'm not sure since I don't know how it's supposed to look like, but I've uploaded a file to the zone called Shencode.zip that holds a bunch of lha files that are containing a lot of stuff. (It took me quite a while to figure out how to get the files from the Amiga to my pc. )
When and if someone finds the urge to begin the journey of completing this mindblowing game I will start to transfer the rest of the graphics and tunes that were created for Shenandoah. At the moment much of it is in amiga format only.

I'm really looking forward to seeing some exciting souls picking this shooter up and bring it home!

Amiga version of Space Machine is going to be shown at Retrospelsmässan (retro games fair) in Gothenburg this weekend. Google translated from this blog http://blog.svd.se/spelbloggen/2014/...rospelsmassan/

"I saw that you were going to show a Swedish Amiga game that were developed in 1993 but not released until this year. What is the story behind the game?

- 1993 was four Swedish teenagers to develop a side-scrolling shooter for the Commodore Amiga. Everything went according to plan. The game was almost completed, the publisher was clear and pictures from the game had started to come out in game magazines. Sorry, we had some teenage drama in the group that made the split, which led to the game never saw the light of day. 20 years later found one of the members of an old floppy disk with the game and came up with the brilliant idea to finally show it to the world. The game is called "1993 - space machine" and will be presented at Retrospelsmässan 2014 , It is not a new retro-designed game and it is not an old game with remastered graphics. The game is made in 1993 and looks like game made in 1993."
