Can't get DNS working in AmiTCP

Hi all,
I am trying to get online with the EasyNet pcmcia network card.
I own an Amiga 1200 with 4M of RAM.

I installed AmiTCP and I can ping IP addresses, but no domain names.
As you can see from the picture, when I ping "google.it", it appends ".localdomain.com"

Check AmiTCP:db/resolv.conf. There should be a line reading

NAMESERVER <ip of your dns>"

For example

NAMESERVER 192.168.1.1

Is AmiTCP or MiamiDX the best to use? What is the difference?

The filewas not there, but I created the file and now it is working!

AmiTCP is faster, but MiamiDX has more features (DHCP, PPPoE, NAT etc). I'd say that if you don't need any extra feature from MiamiDX, use AmiTCP. Unless you want to buy Roadshow which is both fast and quite feature rich.
