theres a limit to what will fit for two reasons....

.....firstly your best to check Aminet for list of compatible drives 2.5 variety for portable pc,s
....Secondly if your looking to fit a slimline 3,5 drive theres a limit to what HD RaM is recognised And it requires an addaptor.
I,m sure other members will give you more precise information if you require it , though the free Aminet Hardware guides on HD,s should answer all your questions have fun

I must be asleep Figi its the old eyesight that goin cheers , there is a clockport version of the catweasel drive addaptor though that doesnt require zorro hence they could be used ...however tracking one down is going to be the problem eg EBAY

Dude, you're talking aboud hd's while he asked for fd (Floppy disk).

No, you can't just replace the Amiga floppy drive with a pc drive. Although the Amiga drive can read PC-disks (720K), the other way round will not work. You need to add an original Amiga floppy drive or get some controller like catweasel, which needs a Zorro-Slot. I never heard of an A600 upgraded to have Zorro Slots, anyway. ;-)

Best shot is to get an Amiga fd from ebay. Or a used A600/500, could be as cheap with better availability. :-D

You could always buy my Amiga A500+ if you are really stuck.
Its got a ram expansion in the trapdoor and is going for £30 plus postage and has some (original) games with it too

SOME old PC drives fit and work after some jumper settings, but they are quite rare and hard to find.

Seems like you got a shitload of problems with the 600, best thing is to buy a new computer dude, and keep this one for spares. it's FUBAR.

hehe I used to be a sniper, the best way to win auctions, but now qxl put an antisniper thing on, if you bid in the last 5 min of the auction it just start again with 5 mins left, and so you can never sniper without it putting the time back til 5 min... But still it's some kind of sniping....

That's a good thing in my opinion.. Huuto.net (a Finnish online auction site) has had that since the start..

Of course, if you're into sniping, then.. ;-)

well ,ebay works the way it does and you have to learn how to play with it. I do hate software snipers, those who with fast connections and the apprpriate software, snipe auctions when a couple of seconds or less are left, but it's quite silly to bid 3 days before on an item and expect to win it.

If you really want to win an item, you have to wait for, at lest, the last minute or 30 seconds of the auction's ending date. This also guarantees that you get the lowest prices on items since your auction might close in the middle of the eBay bots upping your bi=d, and you end up winning (or not) an item for much less.
