Surely this thing wastes most of it's CPU cycles creating NTSC Composite signals & Sigma Delta audio?
They should have considered a small CPLD "custom chip" as a partner. None the less... amazing work. |

I could of swore that there was an AD725 in there doing all that from an RGB source... the audio on the other hand is interesting... |

There is an AD725? Ah.. a little better.
They still have to copy each pixel from RAM to the I/O pins and generate sync in software software. A nice CPLD could have easily generated sync and contained a line buffer. Last edited by alexh; 04 December 2008 at 20:04. |
