If you can get your wife playing Amiga games, then you will have performed a miracle similar to sailing across the Pacific on a baked potato. It just won't happen so I suggest you give up right now and never mention it again.

I'd suggest a two player game of Shanghai.

My wife really isn't much of a gamer, but she did get hooked on Crystal Hammer at one time. She played it a lot until she had the top score on the list, and then lost interest. A simple game such as that might be something to try.

Amiga will never die!
|
Show her Rodland, Zool, Trolls, any of those cute platform games. My girlfriend loves the CD32, and I'm buying an SX32 just so she can play the AGA version of Super Street Fighter II.

Yep, there is an Amiga game for every woman. What appeals to one of them may not appeal to another, but there are some popular ones:
1) Superfrog (somebody else's missus used to visit me, just to play it!) 2) Znyk (PD game similar to Tetris) 3) Any Pacman clone 4) Maniacball (my last missus actually skipped meals because of that, and I had to negotiate access to my own Amiga!) 5) Rodland 6) Fury of the Furies But I could never get any of them to take up the Scorched Tanks or Worms addiction. |

@squirminator2k
You haven't performed a miracle yet. We're talking about "wives" here. When a female transforms from girlfriend to wife, there are subtle but devastating changes. I suppose you've performed the equivalent of sailing on an uncooked potato... The best luck I've had is with "Dawn VideoPoker". I think it's because women like the idea of gambling with money that isn't theirs. |

A-HA! mr_a500, you got something going on there that I was just going to ask... girlfriend-compatible games are NOT the same as WIFE compatible games...right? I mean my girl plays with me and all (and sometimes she managed to kick my arse at many puzzlers), but if the change to wife ever happens, this would change radically, I presume. |

For those planning on getting married, I suggest changing the wedding vows to something like this:
Do you (bride's name) take (groom's name) and his Amiga, In sickness and in health, For richer and for poorer, With good Amiga games and with bad, To have and to play with, From this day forward so long as the Amiga shall live? (..and hope she says "I do") |
