Phalanx
The latest Phalanx WHDL install v1.2 is a credit to CFOU with speed options on the game engine. With that said it still lacks the authenticity of the original game. The intro is rushed on anything over a 68000 cpu and the first part of the title theme is missing.
It seems to be the case that the game was coded with a 68000 and disk-access time in mind. Is there an independent timer that could be used over the entire game install? The variance between CPU speed and floppy-HDD times is too great for this game atm. Comparison Videos of Phalanx on WinUAE Cycle exact and the latest v1.2 WHDL Phalanx install done by CFOU on an A1200@26.6mhz is here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AhcDodhmD2NVw1in...QTaXC?e=fB7XAf |
