CIA chips
going through my bunch of CIA chips,
I noticed I have one thats an 8520PD, dated in 1991. Is there any difference in the 8520PD to the 8520A-1 ?? I see the SMT version on the a600 is 8520PL.. maybe 8520PD, the D is for DIP. the 8520PD is numbered "318029-02". I noticed from the bboah they list an 318029-03 as 8520A-1.. The oldest ones I have are 8520R2 from 85.. |

They are functionally the same. As long as has the same model number (8520) and it fits in the socket, you're golden.
Post pics please if you have a camera. :-) |
