Yes, this is possible! Check it out:

Shame there are no schematic or layout files in this repo

Ah, no they are here

I have a v1 installed in an A500. What an awesome little gem this is! I do see weird blue dots flickering in Kick Off 2 Final Whistle. Anyone else has similar artefacts?

It seems that German engineering is redesigning the adapter to fit better in A500... more to come.

.

Meh. Why use surface mount when you have an entire card to work with? I'm drawing my own with through hole components.

I have one of these to assemble, but nowhere seems to have U4 (TLV74333PDBVR) in stock. Is there an alternative part I can use?

You do not actually need U4. You can use the 3.3v generated by the Pi so it is not needed. i released the Gerber files for the A600 on the Github page, tested and works good and is "relatively" easy to solder. I did up a design that will fit in the a500, a1k and a2k. and will release them after a good testing.

https://github.com/c0pperdragon/Amig...ideo/issues/37

I do have a few of these left over so if anyone wants blank or premade let me know. It is too expensive to ship to Europe so probably only good for those people living in N. America.

Wow, looks pretty neat. Cudos for designing it so perfectly around all the nearby chips that almost get in the way.

Thanks for the kind words. I think i have figured out how do slightly modify so there will be no need for the end user to to any soldering

Will take a week to test etc providing i don't get distracted

Bloody interesting news, keeper2k.
Very curious about your new great solutions here!

Hello All, any thoughts why my Rpi HDMI output looks like this:

(Amiga test kit screen visible on composite A500 out)

What RGBtoHDMI have you got? What Denise version - have you set the jumper set correctly, if you've got the v2 board.

It looks like there is interference with the sync signal - so check that signal and pins are OK on the RGBtoHDMI board.

I have Jumper set to Denise (8362 chip on board), adapter PCB V2 version. Picture is flickering and splitted in 4 as you see. Tried to play with Rpi prefs menu but with no luck.
I soldered 74HC86PW instead 74LVC86, can this be fault?

I think you are meant to use 'HCT' parts (instead of 'HC'), which are are TTL logic compatible. This is possibly why you are having this issue.

However, for the VLC parts alternative, I have used VHC parts instead, which are slower and fixed some pixel sparkles issues that I had.

HC aren't 5V tolerant when powered from 3,3V.
HCT are TTL compatible, but must be powered from ~5V, so they won't work either.
Additionally, HC(T) are much slower than LVC - how much of a role that plays with your issue, I'm not sure.

Use LVC, VHC or AHC parts - the latter two may work better when using ribbon cables or adapter pcb's (they have limited output drive which reduces reflections on long traces).

Okay, I replaced 74HC86PW with 74LVC86. Now it works, but quality is not great.

I got strange purple shadows:

Have you set the jumper to Denise?

Also, make sure you clean all the flux off. Using a multimeter, if you measure resistance to ground, do you get any readings on any of the Denise header pins?

Hi All
I have also managed to fabricate an RGBtoHDMI, and I'm very pleased with it.

I have made a little cover that holds an HDMI output connector. It is designed in such a way that it just clips on the A500 without the need to modify the case in any way.

If it has any interest I made it publicly available to download the STL from Prusaprints

https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints...-for-amiga-500
