2.0 ROMS internal but 1.3 ROM in HDD
I'm hoping to install GAAE on my A500 hdd. The the A500 has 2.0 ROMs but the hdd only has 1.3 (and 1.2) ROMs. Is this an issue or am I not understanding how this works (highly probable)?
BTW this forum has already helped me immensely with general Amiga knowledge and troubleshooting. Thanks for being here! |

I suppose you mean that the Amiga has a Kickstart ROM (microchip on the motherboard) version 2.0 and the HDD has some old operating system installed. Right? The files on the HDD can be replaced easily and the GAAE will probably replace everything entirely anyway, so it does not matter what is already installed on the HDD. You might only want to make a backup of what you think could be worthwhile.
If it is the other way round (ROM 1.3 and OS 2.0), then it is an issue because GAAE needs ROM 2.0 at least. |

Alright, I think I'm OK then. I do have 2.0 ROM in the Amiga itself.
