Joy-Breaker games.
How many, and can you name any game which was given the wary label of being a "joy-breaker".
These were games which required the player you waggle the joystick in 2 directions very fast. See how many we can name. I Remember Summer + Winter games. |

Speedball 2
Although not a waggle-me-do, when I used to play this I couldnt help but use excessive force while trying to injure the rival teams. Cained a couple of joysticks with that one. |

I def agree with Decathlon, I wrecked 2 joysticks with that one!
With these xxx games I couldn't break my joystick because I started to laugh everytime so hard I couldn't concentrate on the game when I tried to play it! (I felt like an obsessed wanker ) thus it saved the joystick. I did complete these games by putting the mouse in the joystick port and move the mouse, it did simulate a turbo-wanker movement without any problem! |

Me and a friend of mine must have broken a dozen of Tac-2's. When I had a conversation about this with another friend of mine not long ago, he said that he had never broken a Tac-2 and didn't know anyone who had done this exept for us. (infact he was calling me a lier).
Surely someone else must have broken that little pin thats welded onto that little ball inside the joystick, or what? |

Combat school without a doubt one of the most destructive games out there. Regarding Summer Games, a couple of events I originally thought you needed to "waggle" in had more to do with timing than sheer brute waggling.
Although how you could ever do any spectacular gymnastics always has remained a mystery to me! |

In let say olympiads game you have ( or had ) to move the joystick fast around the center zone and hear the microswitch click, not to force it to extreme left and right until it breaks. It's faster, and you don't break the joy.
All of my joystick [5 or 6] still works fine [ even if a cheap one is now too soft ]. |

Just remembered another one, what about the Waggleomania demo that featured on The One's coverdisk?

Actually, I think there about 90% of the events in Summer Games didn't ask you to waggle your joystick. If this game didn't have so many boring events, it would surely be THE olympic game.
I used to master all events in that game, but now I can't remember anymore. The horse racing gave me more trouble than anything else. |
