GT Interactive's NAM works as a standalone game with Duke3D exe.
[ Show youtube player ] It has said to be worst game that uses Build engine. Duke 3D add-ons, Duke It Out In DC and Duke Caribbean both works. Duke 3D nwinter does also work but there is no actual menu item for it? |

You need to start it from command line
duke3d.060 -gFILENAME.GRP So if you want to start dukedc duke3d.060 -gdukedc.GRP If you get errors, try to delete *.con files, like default.con, user.con etc. NAM is different, it just requires it's own grp file, there must not be other grp files and duke3d.060 is started with NAM switch. Like duke3d.060 -NAM |

DamienD has created a .HDF with "Duke Nukem 3D Atomic" and the following Addons all set up:
... Duke Caribbean: Life's A Beach ... Duke It Out In D.C. ... Duke Nuclear Winter ... Duke Nukem's Penthouse Paradise ... Duke It's Zero Hour He also used a .GRP editor to remove standard Duke3D levels in all Addons so that you can only play the intended level Grab from the TURRAN FTP under: /DamienD's WinUAE Collection/Interim Updates & Fixes |

Can these addons be used if you don't have RTG? These are different levels right?

They contain new maps, new graphics, new sounds, etc. If you familiar with the term "total conversion", these are commercial variants. JFDuke3D doesn't need RTG regardless of what expansion you play.
In the new version I included a script to start Duke Caribbean, it should work with both versions: retail CD and the one the came with short-lived Megaton Edition. |

Hi, BSzili!
Is there a way to fix the warning "Demo demo1.dmo is of an incompatible version (117)."? And to fix too fast modern mouse (so called "inverse acceleration" when moving 2000+DPI mouse too fast)? |

Playback of the original attract demos is not supported. If you experienced the mouse issues in UAE then I'm aware of it, but couldn't find a workaround, because the overflow happens somewhere under input.device. Fortunately this only seems to affect emulation.

It's an amazing port, running beautifully also on RTG Picasso with MIDI. The only defect is the mouse negative acceleration on modern mice with high DPI, which can be annoying on very fast movements.

Took this for a spin on my A1200 Blizzard 1260 50Mhz this afternoon, very pleased, what a great release! The frame rates in the other ports I've tried are just that bit too low to make the game worth playing, fragged my way through the first 3 levels before I knew it.
Massive thanks BSzili, appreciated! |
