Question Argh!! reqtools.library!!!

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to run some Rippers in WinUAE and pretty much every single one complains about how they require reqtools.library. Now most of these have the Lib folder with the reqtools.library file in there.

So what am I doing wrong?

I've tried OS2.04 + WB2.0 combination. I've tried running of HD0: and DF0: no luck.

I used to be a Wiz on the Amiga1000 + Amiga2000HD. But I'm afraid the ravages of time have stolen my memory of how everything worked.

So I might as well be a Newbie

Hi Analog-X64,

welcome to the EAB
Have you copied the file over to your systems libs folder?

I'm booting from a Workbench in ADF so I'm guessing that is my problem.

Should I build a bootable DH0: with Workbench installed?

I will have to try and figure out how to do that.

Good thing about WinUAE I can mess around as much as I want very quickly.

I plan to one day resurrect my Amiga2000HD. Basically the Rodime RLL/MFM 20MB Hard drive got the click of death and that was the end of it.

I picked up an 8-UP Board many years ago which has a SCSI Controller built in, but I dont know if I could figure out what to do with it.

I also bought a copy of Amiga Forever CD.

Life things took over.. so I'm just recently getting back into it.

I'm off to work now (5:00am EST), will try it out when I get home.

Last night I remembered "DiskMaster2" its something I remember using extensively. Should help in the file copying process.

Or you could probably get it sorted using Total Commander as explained there:

(obviously talking about the total commander and ADF plugin part only)

I would think you'll need one of the more up to date versions of reqtools. Usually you can get these off AF disks or CD's. That is where I got all my updated versions from

In 20201, you guys helped me out with ReqTools. Thanks!

New version, run the installer from the folder, next next next, reboot Amiga and good to go.

I'm now listening to Beyond Music in HippoPlayer and am a happy nerd.
