Psygnosis Planetside demo
Just remember what happened with the Planetside demo. I think that one of the programmers (can't quite remember who it was, probably Stuart Sargasson who is now at Sony US) wrote this fractal landscape generator. The landscapes could be loaded into Sculpt4D, and a "game" was born!
The stuff in the demo was never a game, but I think the idea was that it was just going to work like Mirocosm did with the landscape animation rolling by and sprites laid over the top of it. Anyway. I was just searching on the net about it and everybody seems to think it was on the Lemmings disk. I found this among my rooting around in my Mum and Dad's loft. Have none of you seen it? It's the original Planetside demo disc. |
