Wanted: IRIX 5.3 CD (Not amiga.. but help plz)

Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone out there has an IRIX 5.3 install CD that I could have/have a copy of... I pulled out my old trusty SGI Indy today to find the OS running some crap I don't remember how to use ^_^;;; So I wanted to do a re-install but I can't find my original install CD.

I would KILL for a proper working set of IRIX 6.5.22 CDs.

lol, you can download a working version of IRIX 6.5.22 from SGIs website..

Here's a thought, if you send me IRIX 5.3 I'll send you IRIX 6.5.22

(IRIX 6.5.22 runs too slow to be usable on the indy

No you can't. You can only download the UPDATE. They're not in disc image form and do not include the Installation Tools/Foundation discs, which contain the core OS.
I think I have IRIX 6.2 CDs somewhere (they came with an Indigo I have), but I haven't tested them yet.

Another thing: eMule might (MIGHT) have a copy of 5.3 somewhere. I was looking for 6.5.X the other day and saw what I think might be an ISO of it.

Did some one get a copy of this. Would it be easy to recompile 4dwm to run on NetBSD??

I would like some screenshots of 4dwm, I would like to use some of the Icons for Workbench

There are two image sets in The Pirate Bay

You just need a torrent client, and hope that there are enough seeds.

Yep I have it, I can't mount the ISO on NetBSD, tried cd9660, xfs and efs so will have to find a way to rip the .tars from the .iso
