Jim Power: Mutant Planet vs Lost Dimension
Yes. Which is the better game, and are they both the same game, but the later is simply tweaked for the capabilities of the SNES?
![]() Wikipedia has somewhat conflicting information on them, and the way I see it, it could be either way. Thankful for information and opinions lads. ^^ |

Basically the same game with some tweaks for the SNES. The hero looks... well you know the word starting with a 'g'
![]() You want to know which version is better? On an Amiga forum? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

SNES version have overhead levels but I really don't like them. Also something "wrong" is with parallax effect in platform levels.

You've got a point there, Druid... lol Still, I got great feedback on Turrican 3, made me chose the Genesis-version, which was the right choice, I would say.
![]() I'm reading on Wiki that the SNES-version is considered one of the hardest games of all time, anybody know how the difficulty-level is, when you compare the two? |

![]() Both games have almost the same difficulty, which is either considered real hard or quite okay, because you can 'learn' the levels ![]() ![]() |

Hey guys, I'm reading that the SNES-version has some really wacky 3D-effect in it. Anybody know if that still works in Zsnes? Like, if I have a pair of 3D-glasses, I'll get the necessary effect?
Anybody know which colours the glasses should have btw...? Last edited by Predabot; 22 March 2009 at 02:08. |

I think the '3D' effect is Mode-7 and so no 3D glasses are needed. However where did you find that info? Would be interesting to have a look

Well, it's mentioned on Wikipedia and on the Youtube-vids, loads of people reminisce about the glasses that were included.
![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/index.html?curid=4670943 Would be cool if there was some pictures of the glasses tho, I must say... |

So they incorporated the 3D in the parallax scrolling. Might explain why it looks strange without them

I don't actually. But it should be easy to find, right?
![]() Sadly tho, it would appear as if the SNES version sucks ass. ![]() http://www.armchairempire.com/classi.../jim-power.htm And apparently, according to this review, it's the ATARI ST(!) VERSION THAT IS THE *BEST!!* 0_0 http://www.thatguywiththeglasses.com...puzzle-battles |

Interesting Druid. The music DOES sound better on the Amiga!
![]() On the youtube-vid, I read that there's also a TurboGrafX-16 version, on CD-rom that features a full-on remade soundtrack! Is that the ultimate version?? Have you ever seen or heard that version, or about it? I wanna' know man... this could be it... the ultimate version.. |

the game is amiga first. Alain Bois-Ramé was in charge to convert/adapt the code on the atari ST.
