Hello!
is there ANY chance at all for me to find the 4.15 burned ROM for my G-Force 030 GVP A2000 accelerator? Mine has the 4.13 version installed but it gives probs with "big" drives, my IBM 4.55GB SCSI drive is only recognised as 238MB... can anyone help? the rom image and info can be found HERE thanks! ![]() ![]() |

I don't know how, where and why ... I only need to burn 1 rom... does it worth the trouble? are they expensive? hard to use? I suppose I can use the existing chip, as it has a sticker on it to prevent erasure...
enlighten me alexh! |

Beginning of next month I'll be getting a willem programmer so I'll do it for you then if you want
![]() I'll see if I can grab a ROM off ebay that's the right type ![]() Could I blank and use the GVP Omni 3.5 EPROM that I have on a broken accelerator? Edit: It appears to be the right type but I'm not 100% sure... M27C256B.. Never been too good with telling what EPROMs are what... but it looks right... Last edited by BinoX; 21 June 2007 at 20:39. |

I'll hazard a guess that the M27C256B is right.. Considering it IS on a GVP G-Force 030 Combo card... heh

The firmware is actually 16KB in size, meaning that it'll fit on a 27C128 EPROM as well.
Also, 4.13 shouldn't be giving you problems with large drives. What formatting software are you using? |

See, that's the thing: If you're using HDToolbox it'll LOOK like it's detected the wrong size in the "drive type" options. But when you go to the partitioning screen, it'll show up with the correct size.
