If you're enjoying the Metal Gear Amiga Port and wanna support me in some way I just put the Amiga Soundtrack up on bandcamp. It's free of course but you can slam in a price if you want to. <3
https://hoffman.bandcamp.com/album/metal-gear-amiga-ost v1.1 is coming very soon, just need to verify the game running on a few more configs. ProTracker modules will be released at the same time. |

I absolutely love this game. The music is a revelation. Proof that it's not a true Amiga game unless it has a bursting sound track. Gameplay is great. I don't know how much time this has taken you Mr Hoffman but you have created something very very special.

We need a box and a small manual, together with a nice sticker for the disk! :-)

Hi. Is there any space to add option to use original graphics? Because i like original ones more than those "enhanced" ones. Edit: Even if this must be WHDLoad patch because it's no place for it on floppy, i'm for it. |

I'm not sure what you mean? The only enhanced graphics really is snakes picture in the transceiver. All the other characters images didn't exist in the original game. Is that what you mean?

Yes, i mean exactly this. For me original MSX portrait looks much better than this "enhanced" one. Original: "Enhanced": Sorry, but it doesn't look better for me at all Last edited by Solo Kazuki; 11 June 2021 at 11:18. |

If I may ask, is the font used for the transceiver messages (and status bar elements) an original creation?

To be honest, I personally don't care either way. The enhanced character models look fine, the original looks fine. I'm just super happy to have such a great port of this game

Anyway, to manage expectiation it won't be changing. Considerable code changes were implemented for the additional characters, the radio static. Etc. Far too much work to reverse all of that and I'm done with the project apart from bug fixes. I'll be releasing the source code at some point so if someone else wants to take on that change they are more than welcome to. I personally think the characters help deliver the games dialog a lot better. But hey, can't please everyone. |

Hear Hear. Completely agree - the fact we have this game at all is just incredible. I'm very grateful to h0ffman for putting a huge amount of effort into this port.
