scaling and scanlines
Hi Toni,
Will the scanlines issue be fixed sometime ??? I remember you wrote something about display driver a while ago ?? Winuae 1.6.0 works perfect here, scaling works fine too, I just miss that 1.5.0 scanline feeling. Both are with 100 % scanlines 32 bit bilinear. |

This looks like a graphics issue to me. While I have not tried to recreate the effect here, I have seen such problems at work. The second picture shows a resized interlaced picture that has not been separated into two separate pictures before scaling.
Could it be that automatic resize has been used for the second screen cap? |

scanlines are not compatible with scaling, never was, not even when using old-style scaling filters. Not a bug, it is missing feature and I am not really bothered.. EDIT: moved. EDIT2: I lied, it should be better in next beta. Last edited by Toni Wilen; 05 June 2009 at 17:11. |

I get no scanlines, when scanlines are set to 100 % transparency using d3d filter in latest beta 12. It's working in 1.6.1.

100% transparent...
Doesn't that mean completely invisible? |

Well, since scanlines are emulating the perfect-black "lack of Photons" of 15KHz displays, it probably means "original doublescanned graphics faded down to black by 100%", ie black. Right?
