PureBasic & OS3.2

I've coded a few things in PureBasic using the Windows version, but have recently resurrected my A1200 and would like to try PureBasic out on it (yes I know it's older and very different!).

My A1200 is about to have a new 3.2 ROM inserted and will run OS3.2 from HD. Has anyone tried running Amiga PB using such a configuration? Just want a heads up before I try in case I waste my time...

I had version 4 running on WB 3.1.4. The IDE was a bit buggy but I could compile most of the test programs. It's a shame that Fred didn't continue the Amiga version. I use the Windows, Mac & Linux versions all the time.

Perhaps AQBasic could be a promising option?

It's https://aminet.net/package/dev/basic/aqb-0.8.1 now. (It'd be better to just not have the version number at all in there, though.)

Thanks for the info. I'll probably give it a try, if only out of curiosity.

Thanks for the AQBasic pointer. I'll have a look out of interest.

It could be worth a look at one of the blitz basic versions as Purebasic started as a fork of blitz and still shares a lot of its code format.

I did some BB2 coding back in the day so, while it would take some relearning, glancing through some of my old code, things seem 'familiar' because I've used PureBasic over the years.

Look at amiblitz3. It is still actively being developed and as already mentioned purebasic was a fork of blitz2
