I'm here to gush
I first started using Amigas back in 1985 with the original 1000. It was my dad's and I loved using it and it was his main home machine (other than his DEC terminal) for years as he did tons of crazy upgrading and even did some video editing work contracting on the side for fun/profit (adding captions and credits and titles to local TV stations).
I got a PC in 1989 and have been on PCs ever since but have an Amiga 1000 and 2000. I haven't really done much on the emulation side but decided recently, especially given Covid, that I really want to participate in more communities and so here I am. As a new user here, I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful this community appears to be. I've already been able to take part in a number of interesting discussions, received both software and hardware help and been able to read until late into the night some fascinating insights written over the years. Thank you for being so welcoming. |

This is a great board, I have been here for a since 2008 (I think) and it is always a great place to come back to with such a friendly community. Especially during the Covid lockdown it is even nicer to come here. Welcome by the way
