Ebay usually has 1MB 30pin SIMMs. They are not very rare, many many 386 and 486 boards used them back in the day. You don't have to worry too much about the access time of the SIMMs, I'm willing to bet you will not even be able to find ones that are too slow. :-)

I fitted two 4MiB 30-pin SIMMs in mine.
These are not the ones I have but they looked like the cheapest on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/4MB-30pin-S...HTtp:rk:3:pf:0 |

GVP always used to use "different" memory BITD I thought.....
I just got an GVP A500HD+ but no idea if I have 4x1Mb or 4x2 or whatever.. ANy ideas? https://i.postimg.cc/WbyDsQsN/20210418-204600.jpg No OS to boot into to test (yet!) EDIT NVM I found some online info The GVP Series II HD8+ and HD+ (*) is a high performance SCSI controller and memory expansion for the A500/+. It connects to the left side expansion slot of the A500/+, and closely matched the case aesthetics. The unit has 4x 30-pin SIMM sockets that can utilize up to four 1Mx8 or two 4Mx8 SIMM modules. A power supply for the GVP unit is required unless an A500 PSU with upgraded 5v/12v ratings is used. This unit does not use the GVP SIMM32 modules. Early units may have had labels with 'Impact' on them, but all will have Series II in the name. So I must have 4x1Mb.. Nice... |

The A500 HD8+ used standard SIMMs so it is easy to upgrade to 8MB. Mine has been in the box for many years now because
1) SCSI->IDE adapters are so expensive (still) 2) That extra 3" of desk space the HD8+ takes up |
