No composite video output on A1200

My brother bought a second-hand A1200 recently, and hooked it up to a TV that works on my other A1200. Using composite + audio (yellow/white/red) to SCART, there's no video coming through, only audio.

I opened it up and noticed someone has done some soldering on the composite and RF modulator, on the bottom of the motherboard. The yellow composite connector has been replaced with a white one that looks the same as the white audio connector. The composite connector also had a slightly iffy solder joint, though I don't know whether or not that's the issue.

Any idea why composite connector wouldn't give any signal, and how to fix it?

Maybe re-solder the iffy solder joint?

I think that is my A1200.
I tested it with composite on my Philips monitor. All seemed perfect so not sure what has gone wrong since I brought it round to Jonathan's brother.

Have you got an Amiga to RGB SCART lead to try? If not I can bring one around to test.

Without looking at my A1200, whenever you have single or few RCA connectors coming straight off a mainboard it's often easy to crack the solder joints and / or tracks, my old 1084S had to have an entire retrofit done for the 9 pin connector as I destroyed the tracks over the years.

RF doesn't work either. The weird thing is, the channel it's tuned into gives a black screen and no sound, rather than just static. My brother says RF sort-of works on his TV, but gets a very bad picture.

Check the shematics, maybe BT101 or DAC problem.

Good news! We made an Amiga RGB to SCART cable and it works fine. Thanks to everyone for your help and advice.
