How to map inputs in FS-UAE for dummies

Hey all.
I am wondering if somebody can explain or help me with input mapping for the FS-UAE. An example is the game Kick Off 3. I can not get out of the controller select menu because the only key that registers anything on the controls is the keyboard right control key. But also for other games, I do not know how to remap keys so they are to my liking. I think this can be done in config files but I do not know how to get into these files for each game and what to put in there. It would be great if there was a tutorial for dummies on this. Or if somebody could please help would be great

The FS-UAE does not explain it in a way that is easy to understand. Like step by steps. I am hoping somebody can explain how to do it here. Then other people can use it as well

Hi @tangodown.

I've just tested Kick Off 3 on my FS-UAE installation.

It was a bit quirky, but I managed to get into a practice game
and was able to control the players, and not score a single goal (standard).

Interestingly -

* KO3 seems to be hard coded to use DF0: (for the floppy version of the game).

* I'm using an X-Box 360 pad, and it was in "single button" joystick mode

* The Football icon "Mouse pointer / controller" is controlled by the joystick.
(So I was able to move the pointer around, and click the joystick button
to select a game type).


Questions:

1. What OS are you running FS-UAE on ?

2. What version of FS-UAE are you using ?

3. What Amiga config (version of Amiga) are you using for KO 3 ?

4. What do you want to remap the keys to ?
(How do you want to control the game ?)
