Haha no worries Thomas, I already edited my post as I don't have it installed as I use MUI5 that has that library installed and in version 21.7 instead of 19.2 of Aminet's version

Then, first please run iGame from the shell, and see which error it reports. On my setup, it surely printed an error, telling me what was missing - MCC_guigfx.

Then, please provide the contents of Libs:Mui to make sure you have the proper things there. In case of doubt, please download the MCC_GuiGfx from Aminet and put it there manually.

Ok Thomas these are my findings...

No error printed. I tried running it with and without WBLoad.

Downloaded the Aminet version and replaced the MCC file and behaviour is the same (iGame not loading, and not displaying anything if run from shell - with or without using WBLoad)

Could you please check the iff.datatype in your system? Note that you should please not install the version from P96, that's just a patch for the 3.1 version.

Thomas if I'm not mistaken OS3.2 doesn't have any iff.datatype.

At least my OS3.2.2 installation doesn't have any iff.datatype in Classes and Devs nor a stock installation I did for test purposes (unless you mean the ILMB one).
Also P96 installation (the 3.3.3) doesn't have any datatypes from what I saw in the files.

Am I missing something on what you wrote (unless it was going for James)?

Can you display the same picture (igame.iff) in multiview correctly?

Yes it shows just fine.
Dunno if you had the time to read my entire post about the error in #515 (http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=515) but if I use the rtg.library from P96 3.3.2 archive then there is no problem with iGame at all. Dunno if that helps in tracing anything but I thought to mention that.

Does it work with the picture datatype from P96? (Just keep a backup of the 3.2 version).

I don't quite follow Thomas. P96 archive doesn't have any picture.datatype from what I know of. Can you please enlighten me a bit?

Edit: The only difference I saw from a stock 3.2.1 installation without P96 installed and my own 3.2.2 with P96 (3.3.3) is that:
- Stock 3.2.1 - picture.datatype version 47.15 (07/11/2021)
- My 3.2.2 - picture.datatype version 47.19 (15/12/2022)
...but I guess that change is due to OS3.2.2 update. Anyway I tried with that picture.datatype (from 3.2.1) and still no joy with NoGuiGfx disabled.

I retried putting rtg.library from P96 3.3.2 and everything works as before... it's kinda weird that GuiGfx.library doesn't like the rtg.library from P96 3.3.3.

For that, I first need to reproduce it, but it just works here. Which graphics card is this?

I'm using a Vampire V4-Standalone which uses vampiregfx card.
But same thing happens when I mount my CF card (that vampire uses) on my WinUAE enviroment (alas I believe it's not related to the hardware).
I will investigate further and if I can't narrow it down to extra programs that run etc, I can make you an hdf image of a clean slate system that can be reproduced and send you.

There is at least one particular bug in the ilbm datatype of the Os which allocates its bitmaps with BMF_DISPLAYABLE, indicating that the bitmap is intended to be loaded into the display hardware, even though this step is never taken and the bitmap is just blitted to the screen. This has the side effect that the bitmap ends in slower memory than necessary, and it may also mean that P96 rejects its allocation because the RGB type (pixel organization) is none of the organizations the board supports.

That is probably something you should report to the Os team. However, as it works here, I am not clear how that impacts your system.

If it was some other picture filetype (like PNG or JPG) I could have thought that has something to do with my registered WarpDT datatypes, but the IFF/ILMB ones are the default ones from OS3.2 installation.
Edit: Nope that wasn't the case. I removed WarpDT and replaced all Datatypes from the Stock 3.2 installation and same thing occures. I also disabled everything in my Startup-Sequence and WBStartup, leaving WB as stock as possible and still no joy.

@Thomas check your PM

You tried reducing workbench colours in screen mode?
I had guru's all the time, went from 256 to 128 and then Igame started working fine with guigfx.

I'm using 1280x720 @ 24bit color depth on my P96 screenmode.

When I used PAL 640x512 under WinUAE in 128 colors then iGame indeed run just fine with GuiGfx!
I changed to 256 colors and indeed it DOESN'T work!

One more thing that can help maybe Thomas.
