I would like to see if we can find away for it to work with an ACA500(+). I couldn't get it to work with a KCS board as the ACA500+ wouldn't relinquish the CPU.

of course, unlike the KCS Power PC you can use Amiga Os and Windows 3.1 at the same time.
it is the only PC emulation card that allows you to use windows in vga with a stock amiga ocs.
This thing is poorly documented, on youtube you can find many videos where you see atonce plus in ms-dos mode or with games in cga graphics. but I think my video is the only one showing windows 3.1 in action.

my research has shown (is my opinion) that fpga xc2018 degrades over time.
my original atonce plus card working in msdos but hang on start when i try to boot windows in protected mode with himem.sys driver.
I bought several xc2018s before I found one that also worked well with windows emulation.
I think that's why there are no videos on the internet showing this.
and this is also the reason of my work to look for a replacement to the xc2018 fpga

What exactly is the chip with the Vortex sticker on the original ATonce Plus?
Would that chip be the same as on other PC card by Vortex such as GoldenGate386/486SLC/2 boards?
Asking because i would need a replacement chip for one of those and you seem to have replaced it by that Xilinx chip.

the chip with the sticker and the abraded serial numbers of the atonce plus is definitely a xilinx xc2018.
I'm not 100% sure but on the golden the labeled chip could be a xilinx XC3020.
i found rbt config stream inside "goldenpylon" file in floppy disk.
the checksum is compatible with xc3020 as indicated in the manual

beginning of the rbt file that I extracted

dummy bits: 11111111
preamble code: 0010
conf. prog. lenght count: 000000000011100111100100 (14820 bit)
dummy bits: 1111

About the Vortex ATonce or ATonce Plus, do you know if this one might sandwich with a cpu socket accelerator in an A500 and still work?

it's a setup that I've never tested because I don't have this type of accellerator to try.

Is there a memory map of the areas that the ATOnce Plus board uses? Tried to make sense of the Verilog file in the repo, but it appears to be from a disassembler, no comments and no signal names that indicate anything.

My goal is to find out if this can be made compatible with the ACA500plus (had a request in our support forum).

BTW, there's stock of 30 units of SN74CBTD16211DGGR listed on ti.com - they do sell direct.

of course, is a description of this, an interconnection of combinatory logic, D Flip-Flops and latches.
maybe to understand something I should disassemble the Vortex 286 BIOS, I'm open to any of your suggestions.
