YouTube channel
I have a bunch of spare time now and I like looking up some Amiga music in YouTube. I can make a playlist and it's convenient to let it play through.
After searching for certain modules in there that I could not find, I decided to start a channel where I upload this sort of stuff. The focus is first and foremost on music that isn't available in YouTube already. Then I record it from a real Amiga (usually my A1200) with my pro audio card, in separated mono channels. Then I apply slight mastering to it to make it sound the way I like it. This might upset purists who like 100% panning, for example, but I'm not really interested in that. I want it to sound really good and I hope you can appreciate this. Then I will slap bang the title graphic on top of it at 720P resolution, with as little artifaction possible to the pixels (I hate antialias :P). Anyway, I will upload more stuff as I find it and hopefully this helps a bit to the Amiga community online. It's a very humble contribution, but whatever. Yeah, I know it has been done. But since I am uploading stuff that isn't available already, the more the merrier. Suffice to say that if you know of a certain tune that isn't in YouTube, you like it and you'd like me to upload it, let me know and I'll do my best to get it online as soon as it is possible for me. Here's the first upload, the Disposable Hero title tune, which is one of my favourites: [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by Amiga1992; 14 October 2020 at 16:10. |

Very nice. @Akira, is your channel going to contain only Amiga game mods, or a variety of game, demo and standalone tracks?

I would like to include more demoscene music and standalone stuff, yeah! But people usually don't look for that and, honestly, YouTube shouldn't be a music player But definitely, it is the music I hear the most from the Amiga, actually.
If you like something and want it up and if you like the way I have recorded and processed these tracks, do ask and I'll try to comply I am really happy about the quality of the recording, sounds a lot better than playing the tracks on a PC player, and they are perfect when you hear with headphones because I have killed the 100% hard panning. I have now uploaded most of the tracks for the game Time Lock, another favourite of mine which only had one of the tracks available on YouTube before. I will try to upload the remaining in-game tracks this weekend. |

I just updated this channel with the Skeleton Krew CD32 soundtrack, a magnificient, moody, trip-hoppy work by Nuke! I will also upload the AGA version tunes.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...8by_b9Xld5ChWO SO much better than the Megadrive version's music!!! Last edited by Amiga1992; 01 October 2016 at 01:22. |

Thread title says "Amiga MODs Youtube Channel", not "Amiga MODs on Youtube". I thought it was kinda clear.
I made a YouTube channel and I post updates about it here for anyone, if anyone at all, that cares. You cn post whatever you want on a generic thread if that doesn't exist already! Would you post FS-UAE updates on a WinUAE thread? :P The messages are gone so I will not extend this. I have extended s2325 my appreciation for his uploads in another thread, but now I understand why moderators have tried to make a thread for his uploads. Whatever. Skeleton Krew AGA soundtrack added to the channel. As usual, mastered nicely for modern use. Sounds great on headphones! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...WAQbaltSZew_DN Last edited by Amiga1992; 01 October 2016 at 01:21. |

Next up is Donk! CD32
I noticed this game has quite a nice soundtrack so I added it up today since it isn't in YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...C0cmJ0Vb1bWrl] CD32 games are kinda easy to add because I don't have to master the tracks, so perhaps I'll add some more of these soon. Let me know if there's anything you wanna have at the channel. Last edited by Amiga1992; 01 October 2016 at 01:21. |

Maybe a good idea to have it linked to SoundCloud , then people could download the tunes too, of course you would be limited to a 100 downloads on the basic account...

Nah it isn't necessary. Soundcloud isn't even made for that.
If people can't source the tracks that are available out there, or rather, want my masterized versions of regular MOD format tunes, they can use something like http://www.listentoyoutube.com/ to pinch the audio If there really was enough interest in the audio files (which so far, there isn't) I would consider hosting them somewhere for people to grab in FLAC or something. |

Cool. Well if your looking for some original modules I'd be happy to have you host some of mine, always good to see folk sharing anything Amiga related :-) I`m liking the selection so far.

For the time being I am doing Amiga game music that isn't available to hear on YouTube only, properly mastered and recorded from real hardware when applicable, arranged nicely on playlists for complete soundtrack experiences.
I don't even want to get into scene music yet, because then the rabbit hole goes reaaaaaaally deep! My goal for now is to provide full Amiga game soundtracks in great quality. I'm always on the look out for Protracker modules though, for my Amiga DJ sets. So if you have something dancefloor-worthy (I steer clear from chiptunes) holla back |

I haven't updated this in FOREVER!
Found some free time and put up the Zool CD32 music soundtrack as it was an easy one to upload. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...FuW6BogGAGYSkg Last edited by Amiga1992; 01 October 2016 at 01:21. |

I know it's been forever, like, a year or something? But I have updated my channel with some more complete soundtracks.
I now have a proper setup for recording, with a pro level audio interface (MOTU 828) and the space to have it all easily set up, so I hope I can update more often. Here's three soundtracks, previously unavailable in Youtube in their entirety, recorded from REAL hardware (A600 with clear audio modification) and with slight mastering applied for your listening pleasure: Quick The Thunder Rabbit: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...pHDEByc1QDTMCf Road Rash: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...6azDjoBLYEY9dR Paramax: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...2wpdmSudo-lLfE Enjoy! |
