KGWHD pack help-Newbie!

Hi

I've just decided to go back to the old Amiga games, at last. I'm using a CD32 and SX1 with an extra 4meg. I've installed WB and then Classic WB on a 4 gig drive. All works great. I've got WHDLoad working fine.

Then I downloaded all the KG packs and updates. I've sorted them out on the pc into alphabetical directories ready for the amiga. I see from the forums I need to unzip each of the games on the Amiga to preserve the file names. But there are over 1400 files! On the PC I know how to unzip all at once and keep the directory structure but not on the Amiga.

How can I unzip these game images on the Amiga more than one at a time. Are there any utils in Classic WB to do this?

Or better still is there a way to run these games whilst still zipped as you can in mame on PC?

Thanks

Steve

You can use DirOpus 4, which is included in all CWB packages.

In ClassicWB no problem.

Dopus under the popup menu. It can UNZIP a batch of selected files using the "Arc Ext" button.

EDIT:Retro-Nerd beat me to it!

Thanks guys, it all comes back to me. Never had an Amiga with HD in the past. But Dir Opus does the trick.

Thanks for the instant help!

Is there an archiver which accepts wildcards and can be used on the command line? The unarc program with OS3.9 does not seem to accept wildcards. And extracting zips is mighty slow on an 030!

The Unzip version I use accepts * as a wildcard, should work on 3.9

I just did "Unzip *"
