ArtEffect 4 requirements

Can someone tell me whether or not an FPU is a mandatory requirement for this app.

Thank-you.

Vesalia sells it and mentions no FPU:
Amiga with 68020 CPU or better, AmigaOS 3.x, 8+ MB RAM, HDD.

Be aware that some apps expect a FPU to be present if a 68040 or 060 CPU is detected.

Indeed, the manual makes no mention of an FPU. It runs fine on an '030 without FPU. I haven't tried it on an FPU-less '060, but I'd expect it doesn't have '060-specific code or that would have been mentioned in the features.

In addition to the requirements listed above, it also needs AGA or RTG.

Tested on WinUAE and works well with 060 no FPU

It'll run fine with no FPU (oops, bad typo CPU ) but the minimum 8mb RAM is really nowhere enough.

Thanks everyone. I should have realized I can use WinUAE as a test bed.

A pity this ArtEffect4 is unstable (trashes Workbench screen palette on RTG, and if you run it multiple times it corrupts mem because next app you launch will often crash...), was a very good professional program, but still required some stability patches.
