Leander and bombs

I always asked myself what was the use of bombs in Leander... finally i've found it! :-)
Here you can find a picture and a savestate... go right, open the chests and you will find the evil monster that can be beaten only with bombs.

Which Bombs?

@Nyarlathotep,
I am a bit puzzled. Which bombs in Leander do you mean and how did you get them?
Also, from which level is the end-of-level boss taken? I have never seen him before (maybe that is I use a levelskipper ).

Btw. I haven't tried out your save-state yet.

I'm talking about rune bombs, you can find them in chests and buy them in the shop, i have 11 of them in the pic; bombs are useful only with this monster.
This is not a end of level boss, but a "guest" that came when i took a skull simbol; level in the pic is 1-7.

Smile Ah, that explains...

It is time I play Leander chronologically (i.e. without a levelskippper) because it seems I am missing a lot.

So much to do, so little time...

Eek Bwoaaah

Tell me that screenshot is a hoax! Now from which level is THAT taken? I remember in some of the last levels of Leander, the main sprite of the Killing Game Show makes an appearance.

*Note: to self: dig that screenshot up.*

It's always fun to have guest visits in games. Fury of the furries had a lot of references to movies, plays and games. For example Pac man appeared in the last level. And there was a pinball table too.

Psygnosis featured some of their games as Lemmings levels, if I remember correctly.

Level 3-3.
I will send a savestate to The Zone: walk into the door in the right side of the screen.

Could you please re-upload this savestate?

BTW: there is a second purpose for the bombs: if you have the Lion-Sword and hold the fire-button it loads a kind of smart-bomb (see shot)

Lightbulb Cheating

Oh crap, I too have deleted the savestate. Maybe you can use the Leander cheat to skip to certain levels?

It works like this (nicked from a cheats-site):
Quote:
Enter LTUS as a password for unlimited lives. Press [F8] to pause game play, press [F6], then press Fire to advance to the next level. Press [F2] through [F7] to select various super weapons.
