I dumped that bastard some time ago and gave it to Sane I think. It SHOULD be in TOSEC already, otherwise Sane might be able to post it.

Already thought about a block checksum error on disk B that was always there?
Let the ADF Disk Doctor™ take a closer look ...

Sure But since he only mentioned a WRITE error, a write protected adf seemed to be logical

he meant a read-write error and I understood him well!
Mind u he only speakz the internet slang becuz others talkin on the inet doodz speak the same slang do u know
and usually they dont even use apostrophs or periods or commas
...

in any case, that guy is RIGHT.

Pirates! v832.02 (1990)(MicroProse)(Disk 2 of 2)

has a completely destroyed track 0.
All blocks from 0 to 11 are trashed.
The 850kB *.rez file on disk B is corrupt. This disk should get the [ b ] tag.

@drunkensailor
Please check the upload zone (button next to 'Chat', upper right). I upped a working disk 2 for you there.

Mind you, this thing might have had some copyprotection and got those tracks trashed. I dumped it with transADF. Also, I transferred it with my old shitty flaky disk drive.

I will have to try it again, also with the CAPS tool.

Hmm that reminds me that I only had an uncracked version on my Amiga 12 years ago. I always failed at the copy protection on startup ("When does the Silver Train arrive at ... bla"), making the game more or less unplayable (I think you started in the highest difficulty level, and your crewmen were angry almost all the time, also it was extremely hard to get promoted).

But I think that was the only copy protection in that game. I don't think there was a disk protection.
