Amiga developers and the Arcades
Lately I downloaded a game called Biomechanical Toy for MAME. The game looked and played very identical to that old Amiga game Risky Woods. It had a constant wave of enemies to defeat and coins to collect in bonus sections. At some point even the same samples were used! After finishing this easy but very addictive game, the credits rolled by and I saw it was produced by Spanish development team Zeus who also programmed Risky Woods.
Now I wonder, do you know other Amiga development teams who also produced arcade-titles? |

And it is very playable too!
You really must try Biomechanical Toy. The game is like Risky Woods meets Ruff 'n' Tumble. It is one of the most playable and colourful games I've played in MAME for a long while.
Oh, to keep to the main topic: I forgot to mention Agony's creators, Art & Magic, who also produced many arcade titles. Only Ultimate Tennis springs to my mind... |

More arcade stuff
@Cody,
I forgot to mention Gaelco is also the company behind Biomechanical Toy. I have found an arcade version of Ocean's Platoon. I cannot imagine this is written by the same people who where responsible for Amiga Platoon. The game looks like a NES-port. I'll check out the programmers' names later. @Frank, You can download the ROM from Emuasylum. |
