Amiga gotek saving game problem

"Hello there." so i recently got a gotek for my 600 and ran into a problem saving. does anyone on here know why my SWOS save disk on my gotek would suddenly say disk error after working ok for weeks what could cause it to happen? (Amiga wasn't turned off while still saving)such a pain as i was doing really well on my career mode for once hahaha. this is the second time it's happened now i even saved my game twice 1 as a backup and both now say disk error ?has anyone been successfully playing SWOS in particular the career mode on a gotek ?

Is Save disk in ADF or HFE format?
Better use .HFE.

yeah its just a standard ADF its actually just done it again but i had a backup save i could roll back to but that's not really the answer doing that. it's strange i cant see why it would randomly do it ill try a HFE save and see how that goes. there must be people that play and save SWOS on there gotek's with know issue so it must be possible or id guess this forum would be full of people asking the same question lol

so yeah i think using a HFE format save disk instead of a ADF like you suggested has solved the problem not sure why that is but so far no issues so thanks

Some games save in a special low level format that does not match up with the normal Amiga track/sector format. They need to have their save disks as .hfe.
