Amiga Format coverdisk 53b (Uridium 2 demo)
Does anyone have this disk in ADF format? Can't find it anywhere...

My copy of this disk has been messed around with I think - it looks like it is loading a cracked game but then Uridium 2 loads with details of it being an Amiga Format Demo - either way it doesn't look quite right - is a No DOS disk so I cant ADF or copy it - perhaps that is why it is more difficult to find...?

I have found an original AF53b disk in my collection!
I'll upload an image of it to the Zone for you both, but it might take me a couple of days to find the time to do it. |

Cheers prowler - I would quite like to re-instate my disk back to "normal" - it looks like someone has tried to crack the demo on it... got it in a box of disks so don't know it's history...
AMR could do with a copy I guess - if you ADF it - I will scan it prowler... |

If I remember right, its one of the protected demo disks. I have the original, but its one of those that are being processed at SPS HQ ?

Bizarre... I wonder why they bothered to copy protect a playable demo?

Sometimes the programmer didn't have an alternative disk format system, and sometimes they were protected to deliberately encourage crackers to crack it, so that the preview was more likely to be spread and more people get to know about the game. |

Its probably the standard header checksum protection employed by Graftgold.
Interesting fact: Action Replay 3 totally ignores the error and images Graftgold protection perfectly so you can write it back down as standard AmigaDOS tracks. |
