Fast Z2 mode on Elbox Zorro IV Busboard
Hi, I have one of these
http://amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=1379 and a CV64-3D. I'm trying to get a noticeable effect from changing the Fast-Z2 jumper, with no luck so far. Tests have been on my A1200 with Blizzard 1240/40, Picasso96 and P96Speed v1.2. The problem is that whether the jumper is on or off (yes, power off in between changes...) the results from P96Speed are always the same.. am I doing something wrong? Overclocking the chip from the default 55MHz works nicely and gives a pleasant speed boost, but this darned jumper.. I'd have hoped blit operations would be faster with it on, but no :/ Cheers, Gavin. |

Probably the only thing you'll notice a speedup in is flipping large screens back to front..
Open up three or four 1280x1024 16bit screens and shuffle those around.. See if flipping them gets faster. But blitting will not be any faster.. |
