These are two different cards.

Buffee is an in-socket 68000 64 pin DIP replacement CPU that doesn't have Amiga-specific IDE. Buffee is treated as a very fast 68K CPU with 68000/68010 64 pin DIP socket compatibility.

An early Wicher that has 68000 64 pin DIP socket and IDE controller.

It is too early to support Buffee since it is not really for sale and nobody (?) know how well anything is supported yet..

This construction was designed for a 7MHz processor and will not be optimal solution.

Hi Spidi

How is the SPI busboard secured in place inside the A1200. I can’t find any mention of any fixings or a bracket to secure it in position at the rear trapdoor?

Thanks
Chris

Hey @spidi

Are there new SPI MasterBus Controller shipped to german dealers right now? I want to buy one from Alinea, but this piece of hardware is out of stock right now.

At the moment, it supports microSD.

I can't imagine that'll need any support to secure it. Other cards don't.
That connector is what secures it in place, because it's always a very tight fit, and the A1200 case has a plastic lip in the trapdoor too.

None of which does anything to hold the board in place.

As it is, spidi has confirmed that he's currently designing a 3D-printable trapdoor insert for it to resolve the issue.

My apologies, I thought you meant the actual card, not the SPI bus board.
Don't know how I missed that!

I have a Rev6A 1.3 A500 that I want to add a little expansion to. I specifically want to keep it as a 68000 CPU. I'm looking at Wicher508i as a possibility but I have a couple of questions that I can't find answers to.

Does Wicher508i require KS2.04+ or is that only a requirement for booting from IDE?
ie: if I have KS1.3 will Wicher508i still work, just not autoboot from IDE?

What is the status of the SPI NIC/SD addon? Is it usable from AmigaOS with a TCP stack? Though I don't see them for sale anywhere so perhaps not released yet.

Thanks

SPI busboard is now discontinued. So I ques there woun't be other device drivers for it than SD card.

When I bought it there was no actual promise for other devices, but LAN and some other devices were mentioned with it. I'm really disappointed for this.

SPIBusBoard has not been discontinued.

On the other hand, SPIMasterBusCP is suspended due to limited availability (and high prices) of components.
