Met with another Amigan today to buy an untested CD32. No controller, no PSU, no expansion port cover. My hopes of it working are about zero.

I would be very grateful, if anyone has a CD32 PSU that they want to send my way.

Thanks all.

It is the same PSU as an A590 and a C64 1541-II/1581 floppy drive.

AmigaKit sells a PC PSU adapter.

Oh it is, I was shocked how mint it was. Apart from the odd mark which is pretty standard on most Amiga games, it's as if it was sold brand new

My newly bought bread bin C64 turned up today

I am just testing it out now with a few games from the SD infinity and everything is working perfectly on it so far.

And it's so good to have the 6581 sid back, sounds so much better then the 8580, it's a rawer sound and that's what i like

Also this bread bin does support s-video out and looks brilliant on the 68cm crt using my recently bought s-video cable!

Will post pics later after i give her a bit of a cleanup!

Edit- Here are some pics of the bread bin i just bought, plus some pics of my games room setup!

Also the sid chip in this is a 6581 rev.3! And the c64 looks much better on the crt then these pics show, the crt's screen seemed to reflect a lot of light when taking the pics.

I've just joined up to site and was looking for/hoping one of these types of "What you bought now?!?!" types of threads would be here, if not was going to create one. I love looking through these, getting ideas and reading.

I loved my Amiga back in day and have played my fave games on emulator on and off over years but sadly I have neglected my Amiga 1200 for 15+ years as it's mostly been in storage in the loft (The attic for the yanks).

I have recently had the urge to dig her out of retirement, give her a clean, replace caps and upgrade her a bit.

I currently have on order..
  • 4GB CF Card/IDE Adapter (Will be installing ClassicWB and WHDLoad games)
  • Amiga RGB Scart Cable (Got this for LCD TV or monitor but have since ordered CRT Monitor)
  • Isopropyl Alcohol Wipes (Using these to give keyboard PCB a good clean)
  • 12% Peroxide Creme (For getting rid/reducing yellow on casing/keys)
  • USB to Amiga Mouse Adapter (So I can use my optical mouse)
  • NEC MultiSync FE770 17" CRT FLAT SCREEN (Going to give this a go for retro gaming)
  • PSX Gamepad to Amiga adapter
  • Gotek Floppy Emulator (For the non-WHDLoad games. I also plan to swap this for a HxC drive emulator in future)
  • Floppy IDE Extension cable (To use the drive emulator externally)

I'm also hoping to get an accelerator card soon as well for more WHDLoad/Game compatibility and to also make it overall faster

Does anybody have any help/advice/recommendations for a newbie? Maybe something you would change, better alternative or additional bits for a gamer?

Welcome here.
Recommendations? I see you've bought a lot of stuff, so just to recommend this place http://amigakit.com/

They will also give you support, in this forum even.
