An easy change when I have upload permission restored. When RCK fixes this I'll upload the change.

Thx.
So it looks for the best ratings and if a game gets multiple high ratings it appears twice as often (e.g. Lemmings or F29 Retaliator to name a few). Whereas if a game only has 1 rating in the database and it's a 100% it gets into the toplist (e.g. Master Blaster). Ever thought about some kind of META rating for this list? Like meta critic does? Could be some formula recalculating the 6/10 scores to 100%, giving some weight or minus scores for magazine with too much gap in their ratings regarding to other reviews of the same game, and much more... What about the details in the ratings of magazines? some rate graphics, sound etc...and get back the overall score being shown, while other magazines might use other / more criterias. Not that easy as I see. Thanks for the update anyway. This gives more insights. P.S.: Is that Sonic Game in the list for testing purposes? ;-) |

Lore does what you describe (meta score): http://www.abime.net/games/view/game/id/872 (as an example)
OAGD.net also calculates a meta score from magazine ratings: http://oagd.net/amiga/lemmings I think (but I'm not sure if it's sorted by rating, even if after a short look it seems like it is) that this list is more or less what you're looking for: http://www.abime.net/lists/view/list/id/1 |
