AmiGLaDOS :)

Have this crazy idea for a demo where the SAY command sing "still alive" with accompaining protracker MOD, however i miss the tech skill to do it and i wonder if there is a way to make the say command sing songs, so am at square zero right now.

Just googled 'Amiga say singing' and the first result is this: [ Show youtube player ]

My idea would be to take the output of say and then use something like Autotune to make it 'sing'.

Yeah but i like the idea of an executable AND say command singing - if i remember there are parameters for pitch; will need a LOT of attempts to get it right i suspect - if pitch can be changed during the sentence

Yep, just tried it and the -p command can be used midsentence. Good luck

Fun but time consuming idea The voice can work in the right type of music. I like how it is used in "Emotion Control" on the Dune Spice Opera soundtrack for example.

Not sure if it is exactly the Amiga say voice, but it comes darned close.

Bingo, that's what I was going to use but with the more advanced speech demo rather than the SAY command. You might even be able to fake auto-tune manually using the more extensive parameters of that Amiga BASIC(?) demo.

You would need to know which DAC the speech program locks out and sync the start of the tracker tune to it but it's probably doable to some degree.

Well, code skills = below zero for amiga hardware (and PHP,Javascript or actionscript are useless in this case) so i might need to partner with a coder

You should just hire a lady like Ellen McLain to sing the lyrics like she did the first time. But this time you use powerful audio editing tools to make her sound more like the SAY command.

I'm confident this could be done by playing with Say's vocal parameters.

Also: relevant video for those who might have missed it:
